Mobile ID for Governments

A national identity layer your citizens can trust, and your teams can run.

Mobile ID places a government-issued credential directly in a resident’s hands, verified in seconds by any authorised party, and anchored in your own certificate infrastructure. Deployed and supported by a vendor accountable for uptime and security, not handed over as a codebase for your ministry to maintain alone.

The Problem We Solve

Two hard choices,
and a third path

Most national identity programmes reach the same fork. Build and maintain an open-source platform in-house, which needs technical capacity many programmes do not yet have. Or hand identity infrastructure to a proprietary vendor and lose control of the credential, the data, and the exit.

Digital Partners offers a third path: a fully managed, vendor-supported Mobile ID platform, deployed to your programme’s requirements, with your government retaining ownership of the credential, the keys, and the relationship with the resident.

Where We Sit

Your state owns the trust.
We build the layer citizens hold.

A national identity system rests on a trust anchor: the root that decides which certificates are genuine. That anchor belongs to the state, and should stay there. Digital Partners is not a certification a uthority and does not ask to become one.

Mobile ID is the citizen-facing application layer that sits above your sovereign root. Where a country has already invested in a national PKI, that investment is what Mobile ID builds on, rather than replacing it with a parallel system of our own.

The state owns the root, the certificate policy, and the identity data.

Digital Partners provides the application, the device layer, and the verification experience.

The citizen holds their own key, on their own device, under their own control.

What is live today

Built and running, not a roadmap

Everything below is in production. We do not lead with what is planned.

Government-issued credentials on device.

Residents carry a verified digital identity on their own smartphone, activated in person at an office your authority designates.

Secure QR verification.

A bank, a border post, a pension office or a telecom agent confirms a resident’s identity in seconds via QR code, without the resident handing over underlying documents.

PKI / X.509 certificate trust.

Every credential and every verification is anchored in certificate-based trust, giving an auditable chain from issuance through to the point of use.

Single-device binding.

Each credential is bound to one authenticated device at a time, closing off credential sharing and duplication.

Authority-issued APIs.

Once an agency is registered, it integrates into existing government or partner systems through APIs issued by your authority, not by us.

How Governments Deploy Mobile ID

Three delivery models

Flexible deployment approaches to fit your infrastructure, delivery partners and national priorities.

01

National platform deployment

We deploy and operate the full Mobile ID platform for your national programme, integrated with your existing population register, under your governance and your branding.

02

Component within an existing programme

For programmes already running an identity backend, Mobile ID can be deployed as one component, the resident-facing credential and verification layer, without touching the core registry.

03

Consortium delivery

For large national rollouts we work alongside in-country systems integrators and mobile network operators, combining platform, field enrolment and distribution under a single delivery structure.

Ownership, Control and Exit

What the government owns

Governments are right to ask what dependency they are taking on. Our answer is set out before contract, not after.

All citizen data and cryptographic keys sit inside government infrastructure.

Digital Partners holds no access to citizen data.

Data residency and sovereignty follow each government partner's own requirements.

No vendor lock-in.

Exclusivity, where agreed, binds Digital Partners not to licence a competing programme in your territory. It does not bind the state.

Nothing is shared with any third party

beyond what the issuing authority explicitly authorises.

The State Owns the Trust Anchor, Always!

Talk to us

A briefing is a working session, not a sales presentation. We map what your programme already has — the register, the PKI, the legal basis — and show where Mobile ID would and would not add value.
